Flower Arranging 101 Comprehensive Workshop

Calling all budding florists, event planners and creatives/hobbyists! We are now offering a Floral Arranging 101 Workshop, hosted by Viola Floral Founder Jelena Trifunovic, designed to inspire and empower you to hone your design skills and learn the tricks of the trade.

This comprehensive one-day workshop blends hands-on floral design with foundational skills, perfect for beginners or those looking to refine their craft, grow their hosting toolkit, or explore a career as a florist. Space is limited, and early booking is encouraged. 

What to Expect:

• Master the art of flower design: you’ll design two arrangements to keep and receive personalized feedback
• Learn the essential tools and design techniques for professional floral design, including the use of floral tape, wire and Oasis foam
• Learn how to prepare flowers for arranging and care for them after your design is complete
• Practice creating floral recipes for events or holiday celebrations
• Lazy Susan and professional shears to take home
• Lunch, refreshments and great company!

Workshop Schedule:

9:30 AM – Welcome & Introduction

10:00 AM – Cleaning, preparing, and conditioning flowers for design

11:00 AM —  Flower Design #1: Hand-Tied Bouquet and Gallery Walk

12:00 PM – Lunch 

12:30 PM – Flower Design #2: Garden-Style Arrangement in a Vase and Gallery Walk

1:30 PM – How to Care for your Flowers: Tips and Tricks of the Pros; Building Recipes and Event Best Practices

2:00 PM – Q&A and Closing Reflections
